The guys riff on a number of topics this week… Jeff is back from Charlotte with stories of preparing for and broadcasting NCAA conference tournament games, plus hear his inside perspective on the importance of on-air chemistry with broadcast announcer teams including his relationship with ACL broadcast partner Trey Ryder.  Bernie has recovered from celebrating UNC’s rivalry win and gets to hop on his soap box to rub it in to Duke fans… And by the way, Bernie does the show from his Mom’s house in Charlotte - who turns out IS still alive!  Guests vs. no guests on the show, looking ahead to the next ACL National in Atlantic City and “Meet Jeff & Bernie” is now officially a thing.

Jeff and Bernie attempt to recap the first ACL National of the year in Las Vegas…  Let’s just say, they’re still trying to recover.  The guys take a look back at the celebrity competition in Super Hole III, Matt Guy breaking his 2nd place streak, and overall thoughts on the first ever American Cornhole League team competition.  Plus, Bernie’s “Hot Take" on PPR (points-per-round), his hilarious behind-the-scenes story about his immediate departure after the Super Bowl watch party, and Jeff’s true rookie experience in Vegas...including being approached by a friendly "local worker" at the casino.

Brandon Noble is a former All-Conference Defensive Lineman at Penn State and 9-year NFL Veteran with the Dallas Cowboys and (then) Washington Redskins.  Whether it’s preparing to play cornhole or football under the lights of a nationally televised game, Brandon talks about handling the pressure of the spotlight and the critical importance of having a “routine” to deal with it.  He also shares what the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl is like for players and the emotional stress and preparation they go through - both on and off the field - leading up to Sunday’s game.

Jamie Graham is a former #1 American Cornhole League player in the world and the 2020 Singles World Champion.  He was a 2-time National Winner on the ACL Doubles circuit in 2021 with Matt Guy, but failed to meet his high expectations in singles play.  Jamie opens up about his disappointing 2021 season in singles and talks about discovering a whole new mindset for 2021.  From the high of being a champion, to the low of battling through difficult mental challenges of losing, Jamie shares his story of a new commitment to the game and says, "there’s no more excuses.”

Josh Klingler is the Sideline and Field Reporter for the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals as well as Morning Show Host for 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City and ESPN Broadcaster.  Josh shares the wild experience of being on the sidelines last weekend for the epic AFC Divisional Championship game between the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills! He also gives his first-hand knowledge and candid thoughts on how professional athletes are able to compete and win under incredibly high-pressure situations on the largest national stage and then handle the media attention that follows.

David Harris is the Director for the nationally televised American Cornhole League broadcasts on ESPN and CBS Sports Network.  David has worked closely with the ACL since its early appearances on national TV and shares an honest and comical behind-the-scenes perspective of televising live Cornhole events.  From the difficult technical challenges of filming the sport, to the high pressure stakes of live nationally televised events, and even the unpredictable dynamic of players being mic’d up… let’s just say he’s got his hands full during the broadcasts!

Cheyenne Renner is one of the top 20 professional cornhole players in the world and in the first ACL open event of 2022, became the first female player in the history of the sport to win a pro singles event at the highest level of competition.  Cheyenne describes the pressure she felt during her historic run to the championship and also shares her personal story of battling through mental challenges of the game with hard work, determination and experience.
